     I'm Mike Drinkard, pastor here for over 30 years and I'd like to invite you to "check us out", not only on our website, but with a personal call or better yet a Sunday visit.

     We're a people-friendly church that loves Jesus; believes the Bible is God's Word; and wants to minister to you and your family.  We're also "country" and non-traditional, welcoming one and all in the name of the Lord.  You won't need fancy clothes and the only one in a suit will be me!  We love children and have lots of them.  Our youth are dedicated and actively serve the church by providing Wednesday night meals at the church on a weekly basis.  We offer two or three mission trip opportunities each year for volunteers and give 23% of our offerings to mission work.  We're Southern Baptist Convention affiliated but "independent" in spirit.

     We are half way between Palestine and Athens on Hwy. 19 and draw families from both cities, as well as Tennessee Colony, Frankston, and Eustace.  I guess you can say "it's worth the drive" to find a loving and stable church family.  Come visit us and see, or you can contact us through our web page.  I will answer emails personally and remember any prayer requests you want to send my way.
